We Grilled It and they came not just for food but to get to know each other a little better, have fun, enjoy BBQ and Pakistani food and to renew their commitment to build harmonious and peaceful community.

They did not just come from Tri-City area, they came from Fremont, Newark, Union City, Hayward, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Santa Clara, Mountain view, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Menlo Park, Daily City, San Francisco, Emeriville, Oakland, Berkeley, Roseville and DC, (Congressman Pete Stark and his family)
Please forgive me if I forgot your city.                      See more pictures

We had between 175 to 200 guests from 11:00 am to 3:30. We were told that so many of our guests could not find us. We do apologies for your inconvenience,

Most importantly we were blessed with the most diverse group. People of most religion, race and creed were at one place enjoying each others company, site for sore eyes.

We provided Pakistani food, drinks, halal all American burgers and halal spicy BBQ chicken. We cooked over 60 pounds of chicken and over 50 pounds of patties. Thanks for bringing your wonderful favorite salad and  desert to share. I would like to specially thank my some of my dear friends, Firdos for making pakistani mixed vegetables, Amber for making chaana daal and Taj for making rice. Thanks Craig, Azar, Omair and Kleem for being the chefs for the day.7-21-07 picnic2

Activities: were great and thanks to AMV. GPP, (Kids activities), Eric, Derek and Craig from MVPJ, (games and puzzles for all ages. Eric great storytelling, face painting, DOP East Bay and music by Willard. Willard brought enough instruments to have a complete quire. Every one loved the activities.
Thanks. We would like to thank all co-sponsors who have helped us with outreach, setup, clean up, cooking, activities and special thanks to those who helped financially. We are not in a position financially to have these kind of events but these events are so effective for meeting our mission and goals of beloved community building and creating a culture of peace, , mutual respect and harmony. So we have decided to keep doing it.    See more pictures

We are running our organizations based on Islamic tenets of spreading good will, kindness and by building brotherhood/ sisterhood without any expectations in return.. We believe by doing so the world would become a better place for all of us and for our future generations.

We were glad to see all of you. See you soon.

Best regards,
